Solar Electricity uses solar cells for energy by converting sun energy (sunlight or sun ultra violet radiation) directly into electricity. Because of the growing demand for clean sources of energy and off-grid locations, the manufacture of solar cells has exploded in recent years. Solar cells produce direct current (DC) electricity from light, which can be used to power equipment or to recharge a battery. An inverter is required to convert DC power to alternating current (AC) for home or business use.
